Kristina Hikel


 

     Kristina Hikel is the owner of Hair Art Salon, LLC. Kristina has over 17years experience as a professional hair stylist, and she loves her job.  Kristina honed her skills as a stylist while working at various brand name salons (Sportclips, Mastercuts, Avada, Supercuts, Greatclips, JCPenny's...you get the picture), having reach the tip of what those locations had to offer, Kristina became one of the elite lead stylists at Village Hair Design in Savannah, Georgia. Pushing her education even further, she attended numerous Redken and Avada Certification Class and is now recognized as a Master Colorist and Stylist. 
     After 11 years away, Kristina decided it was time to move home.  Kristina left such a positive impact, she still receives letters and cards from her clients.   
      "As I became more proficient in my field and I would take the next career step, I would find many of my clients following me to each new location.  The support of these people encouraged me to keep going and advancing my career. Being lucky enough to work at Village Hair Design was really the pinnacle of my time in Savannah.  It was scary to give up a good job, with a loyal customer base, and start from all over." 
       After arriving in Maine, Kristina settled in Bath and took employment at Bath Hair Inc. building on her experience she quickly began building her loyal customer base, and eventually took up booth rental at Starz Hair Studio. This should have a been a time to celebrate a new beginning, but it this was overshadowed by the beginning of COVID Pandemic.
       Not one to waste time, Kristina enrolled in online courses and through Affinage Salon Professional training has earned her certificate cutting and organic hair color. The Affinage is one of the color lines and one of the specialty products she will introduce into her latest venture, Hair Art Studio, LLC.
       Kristina has attended other exclusive training classes taught by the masters of their field, such as Nick Arrojo, Andrew Carruthers, and Jenny Streve. Kristina continues to take classes in the Affinage color line, Cézanne Keratin treatment, and advanced hair cutting classes.
Kristina believes every client is unique and deserves to be satisfied. Kristina specializes in kid's cuts, razor cuts, foil techniques, up do’s, braiding styles and curly hair techniques.
